The Witan of Hail and Horn Gathering are excited to announce the many wonderful folks who will be guiding us throughout our 2018 event. As you have probably noticed the folk during last year’s Redemoot voted in favour of honouring Skaði in the Vé as well as all the important and hard lessons she can impart upon us all.

Skade (1893) by Carl Fredrik von Saltza

Those taking on such roles next year are:

Ritual Offerining

Golden Birch Kindred from Montreal, QC have formed an alliance with members of Vindisir Kindred from the London, ON area and Hwítan Hund Hearth near Napanee, ON to undertake the blót ritual in honour of the Snow-Shoed Goddess. We look forward to experiencing the creativity that surely comes from developing such a ritual to a Goddess as enigmatic and powerful as She.

Goddess-pole Carving

The images of our holy powers are brought into being each and every year. The pole is the centre of our worship and calls our mind into focus. This year, the reverent beam will be carved by our friend Luna Peredhil of Vindisir Kindred.

Esoteric Rite

Brynja Eirdis Chleirich of Lodestar Hearth will lead us into our deepest selves and out into the stars as we explore the many mysteries of the Bow-Goddess, the hard lessons and the ultimate seeking of the unknown.

Mead

Golden Birch Kindred have generously offered to craft a wonderful batch of mead dedicated to Skaði, as a gift. The gruit is flavoured with Sweet Gale, Yarrow, Labrador Tea and Juniper! All the tastes of the tundra.

Arm-Rings

Jeff Helmes the Bladesmith is crafting the arm-rings again this year.

Hail to the leaders!
